On September 7, 2024, the Albanian Public Procurement Commission hosted an international seminar titled "Risks in Public Procurement" in Tirana.
The event featured participation from a range of European experts and officials, including representatives from Albania's High Judicial Council, the High Prosecutorial Council, Italy's National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC), as well as judges and specialists from Romania and Sweden. One of the prominent speakers was Vitaliy Trenkenshu, Managing Partner of Datanomix.pro and Redflags.ai, who was invited to share his insights.
During his presentation, Vitaliy Trenkenshu discussed the use of open data and advanced technologies to uncover risks in public procurement, drawing from Kazakhstan's experience. He emphasized the growing importance of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in fostering transparency and tackling corruption. Trenkenshu outlined how AI and data analytics can be applied to identify potential corruption and financial risks at different stages of the procurement process, from tender preparation to contract fulfillment.

Vitaliy Trenkenshu also revealed that Redflags.ai would partner with the Albanian Public Procurement Commission to support risk identification in tender appeals and offered to conduct a training workshop for the Commission’s staff on using data-driven approaches to managing procurement risks.
